    Thanks for your quick reply!

You can find my setupact.log here: setupact.log

Please note that once I had tried to reinstall windows it said there could not be found any administrator or something like that. I have an OEM-Pro version.

    From admin Command Prompt, run:

    • reg save "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" c:\profiles.dat

    Press Enter.

(You should see the output "The operation completed successfully.")

If the above operation is successful, proceed further.

    • reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList" /s
    • wmic useraccount get name, sid
    • whoami /user

    Post the output here.

    Hi,

When I checked registry I found three stray profiles that had been added, how I don't understand.
After removal of those profiles, I restarted the client and immediately initiated the upgrade to 24H2.

After a number of restarts the upgrade reached 100%, and turned to have been successfull.

Thanks a lot for your response!

    Best Regards,

    Anders

Hi, thanks for reaching out. My name is Bernard a Windows fan like you. I'll be happy to help you out today, my timezone is UTC +8.

I understand the issue you have, there is nothing to worry I am here to help, this issue occurs when there is a miscalibration or corrupted system files with the Windows update, and for us to sort out the issue, kindly follow the steps below:

    Reset Windows update components:

Open Powershell with Admin or CMD with Admin (Press Windows key + X then click Windows Powershell(Admin))

Copy each line of command to Powershell then press enter (one line at a time)

    net stop bits

    net stop wuauserv

    net stop appidsvc

    net stop cryptsvc

    Del "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\*.*"

    rmdir %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution /S /Q

    rmdir %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 /S /Q

    regsvr32.exe /s atl.dll

    regsvr32.exe /s urlmon.dll

    regsvr32.exe /s mshtml.dll

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh winsock reset proxy

    net start bits

    net start wuauserv

    net start appidsvc

    net start cryptsvc

-Once done restart the device and check.

If none will work from the above solution, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade wherein it will upgrade the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Kindly follow the steps from this link:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Let me know how it goes and I hope that helps.

    Bernard

I solved my windows issue with error 0x8007001f on windows 11 24H2 update by
removing onedrive's backing up the documents, download , folders, etc

I also had google drive backing some of these folders

This was causing these folders to be redirected which this update does not tolerate.

once I turned all those features off in google drive and onedrive, the update proceeded and finished

Simple unload both the apps did not resolve I had to actually stop the redirection inside of both apps.

Is there any updates on this? Is this a recurring issue waiting for another update?

We already have a handful of computers getting this error and have followed Lester BernardReyes recommendation except for doing an in-place upgrade since all of our people are working remotely.
