Approximate migration speed from file shares to sharepoint online

We are migrating around 250 GB of data from file shares to SharePoint online site collection using the migration tool provided by Office 365 for migrating from file shares. Now i know that the migration speed can vary based on many factors such as; how many files we have and the internet speed. But if we assume that the files we have are regular files of 1-2 MB of size + we have internet speed of 200 mbps + we mentioned to preserve the permission of the migrated files.. so what will be the average migration speed (+/- 15%) we should expect? for example should we expect 1 GB per hour ? 0.5 GB per hour ? 2 GB per hour?

Thanks

Microsoft can give you estimates all right, but to know for sure I would do some tests with actual data within your environment. Then you can easily extrapolate that to the whole project.

    Good luck!

    Hi @john john
There are no official document to describe the details about migration speed. You need to test it on your server actually.
