Whenever I boot up my laptop after an update, this pop-up keeps appearing:

____

A driver cannot load on this device

Driver: aswSP.sys

aswSP.sys

A security setting is detecting this as a vulnerable driver and blocking it from loading. You'll need to adjust your settings to load this driver

____

Should I be concerned? What should I do?

It is not a big problem.

This message means your system is blocking the aswSP.sys driver, part of Avast antivirus, because it’s flagged as unsafe.

First, update Avast—it might fix the issue.

If you trust the driver, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Windows Security > Device Security > Core Isolation and turn off [Memory Integrity] temporarily.

If the issue keeps coming up, you might want to switch to another antivirus.

    Hi Marielle,

I'm Sumit, here to answer your query at the Microsoft Community.

Apologies for any inconvenience you are experiencing. I am happy to help you today.

This error is related to the Memory Integrity feature in Windows. It seems like Avast antivirus is out of date - checking for program updates should resolve it.

    https://support.avast.com/en-in/article/update-...

You may also want to consider uninstalling Avast and use Windows Security in its place - both provide equally better protection.

Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.
