Hi KodyVZ
Welcome to Microsoft Community.
Based on your description, I understand that before you had your laptop screen repaired, you were able to use your TV as a second monitor display, but after the repair store removed and recycled the screen, the laptop was not automatically connected to the TV, and I understand very well how you feel!
Please allow me to explain to you that the lack of a screen on your current laptop has prevented most of the program from working.
But I understand how you feel, especially since the device worked fine before but suddenly doesn't work.
I will give you some suggestions that I hope will help you. However, since I can't access the system to troubleshoot it at the moment, I'm assuming that the problem still exists, and I hope you can understand that I'm just trying to help you in any way I can.
Option 1: Make sure the laptop is not in a power saving mode that may disable HDMI output. Sometimes the laptop will adjust its settings based on the power profile.
Option 2: If the TV has more than one HDMI port, try connecting to a different port. Also, make sure you select the correct input source on your TV.
The input source needs to be adjusted for your laptop.
Normally the TV should be able to recognize it automatically when connected. But only if the laptop is sending an output signal to the TV.
Option 3: Since the screen has been removed, make sure the HDMI port on your laptop is not damaged, check for debris or physical damage.
If your laptop has a USB-C port or a system port such as DVI,DP, etc. we can try to replace the port.
For example USB-C to HDMI cable, USB-C connects to laptop and HDMI cable connects to TV.
Option 5: Sometimes the laptop needs to be manually refreshed to detect an external display. Since you do not have a laptop screen, try plugging in the HDMI cable and then restarting the laptop to see if it detects the TV at startup.
Option 6: You can try to connect to the TV through the cable and enter the BIOS for testing, to see if the TV can detect the laptop normally after entering the BIOS.
If it does, check the BIOS settings. Sometimes internal display settings can affect external output, look for any options related to display or graphics settings.
Option 7: If available, you can try connecting your laptop to another external display, such as a PC monitor or another TV. This will help you confirm that the HDMI output is working properly.
Option 8: If your laptop is connected to a network, you can try to access the laptop from another device using remote control software such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk. This will allow you to change display settings or update drivers.
Option 9: You mentioned that there are sound effects after logging in, which indicates that the system is booting. Try listening for window sounds (such as the Windows beep) after accessing the HDMI. This may indicate that the laptop is working, but may be outputting to the wrong display device.
Option 10: Let's try entering Safe Mode for testing.
You can try restarting the laptop while pressing F8 at startup to enter Safe Mode. Sometimes the system will display different output settings in safe mode.
Other than that, I would recommend you to contact the after-sales or technical support of the laptop brand, or a repairer at a repair store, so that they can help you to test if the port is working properly and if there are any other hardware issues, such as internal wiring that may need to be reconnected.
I sincerely hope that the above solution will solve your problem. Please feel free to contact me if you have any problems or still can't solve them. (Photos related to the question would be great!).
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Best Regards
