The model of my laptop is HP ZBook Firefly 15 G7, and it has an optional nano SIM slot, but it seems to be blocked by some sort of panel. No matter how much I try to push it, it doesn’t budge, and I don’t want to break anything. So, I came here to ask for help. Below is a picture of the card slot.

Thanks for coming back to me !

I wouldn't be able to give you an exact answer, so I suggest that you contact HP directly for a clear and precise answer.

Some computers require specific hardware and motherboards to accommodate a WWAN module, enabling a 4G/LTE or 5G connection.

If you don't have this hardware (factory-installed), it may not be possible to install afterward...

For reference, here's a link to the HP ZBook Firefly 15 G7 Maintenance and Service guide : https://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06685332...

It gives you all the information you need about the different parts of the computer, as well as the replacement options available.

Feel free to ask if you have any other question !

Hello ! I'm Aymeric, an independent advisor, and I'm here to help !

Was your computer purchased with a directly equipped cellular module?

According to your computer spec sheet (which is available here : https://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?... ) ,all Z Firefly 15 G7 models come with a SIM card slot, but computers that are not equipped at the factory with a cellular module cannot remove the SIM card slot cover and insert a SIM card.

Let me know if you have any other question !
