Dear,

I would like to know how to activate the status notification when sending an email as to track the messages in my outlook email.

For example: After I send an email to receiver

I want to see in my inbox email and notify me for the following:

-Whether it was delivered successfully

-Whether it was not delivered

-Contact email does not exist

-Whether the email was read by the receiver

-Whether the receiver did not accept the email.

-Whether it was sent successfully but failed to deliver to receiver.

Thank you

Hi, Thank you for your response.

For further research from the google site similar to my request.

I found these solution from this page that I found:

As I follow these instructions from below:

Then when I click ok button as I was able to track and to know these information:

    https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/b0848130-1129-479d-b2e2-762b530f4fb6?platform=QnA"https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/e7a9df77-17a2-44d0-8750-34080dbb106a?platform=QnA" title="filestore.community.support.microsoft.com" rel="ugc nofollow">

-Whether it was not delivered (mail not delivered when sender send the email probably because the PC system and CPU of the receiver is shut down due to timing difference between two countries or receiver send a reply but it was never received to the sender probably because of the system error of one of them)

-Contact email does not exist (in active emails)

-Whether the email was read by the receiver (read without reply)

-Whether the receiver did not accept the email. (they did not accept my email as it was found on their spam email or probably blacklisted from replying or receiving emails)

-Whether it was sent successfully but failed to deliver to receiver. (same as no 2 option but only the sender delivered the mail successfully but it was not received by the receiver)

It was solved and I was able to find out the status of recent sent messages by using outlook mail application.

Thank you for your help and Idea from your previous comment and it helps me finding the correct one.

Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

Which Outlook? Classic or New? Windows, MacOS, Android or iOS?

"- Whether it was delivered successfully"

Delivery receipts may help. It's a notification from the receiving server that it received your messages. It doesn't tell you if the recipient saw your message, though. Those are read receipts. The delivery receipt is up to the receiving server and the read receipt is up to the recipient. Both can be denied andyou have no control of that.

"- Whether it was not delivered"

There are various reasons why you might get a non-delivery report: the recipient address was wrong or doesn't exist, the recipient server refused to accept the message, the recipient server wasn't available, etc. These receipient server dependent. You can't control that. There are plenty of other faults that occur that simply won't generate a non-delivery report and you'll never know. This is how email is designed. It's a very old protocol and the inventors weren't able to think of how to handle every fault.

"- Contact email does not exist"

This should be covered by the "not delivered" case.

"- Whether the email was read by the receiver"

This is covered by the "delivered successfully" case. Again, read receipt requests are under the control of the receipienr, not the sender.

"- Whether the receiver did not accept the email"

See the "not delivered" case. You should get a NDR for this, but again, it's not required for the recipient server to return one.

"- Whether it was sent successfully but failed to deliver to receiver"

Again, see the "not delivered" case.
