move user folders from c: drive to d: drive windows 11 pro

Hi

I want to move the "user" folders from dive c: to the d: drive

There is no location tab on the folder

    Hello,

    You are not supposed to move the actual user profile folder to a different drive. It must stay in C drive. However, you CAN move the shell folders within the user profile folder to D drive.

    To do so, make sure you create same folders, such as "Documents", "Pictures", etc in D drive where you want it to be first, then back to C drive, right click on each shell folder, go to properties > location tab, browse to the folder you created in D and move it that way.

    I'm trying to move my Public folders from C to D and tried following your suggestion. I get as far as the Location tab on the source drive but don't see a way to browse to the target folder. Can I do this with User/non-admin privileges? Running Windows 11 Pro.
