That's not true. My chipset drivers have not updated since 2021 and cc cleaner says there are updates

Advice about "cc cleaner". Big Concern here about https://www.ccleaner.com/ The site is suspected of being a spyware site that tracks users keystrokes and mouse movements. Be careful when and if you are compelled to use this site, or the software programs from this site. Check it out at https://themarkup.org/series/blacklight Enter in the search field [ccleaner.com]

Included in the results page is: "Blacklight detected the use of a session recorder, which tracks user mouse movement, clicks, taps, scrolls, or even network activity."

Good luck if you decide to use the ccleaner program, but beware of the security risk!

CCleaner is not a virus it is a program that was created to optimize your computer. It speeds up your computer by letting you choose what programs you want to deactivate to speed up your computer and this program also allows you to check for software and hardware updates. I should know because I use the program it also allows you to clean your computer by removing cookies and junk that builds up and takes a lot of space, I also know this because I once had junk on my computer take up a whopping 3 gigs before it may not seem like this is a lot, but it is. Saying this program is a virus is a joke because clearly it is not. My family also used this program since I was six years old that was when windows XP was still around you obviously don't know what you are talking about and you probably haven't used the program. This program also lets you repair your directory.

I don't think, it would work this way, neither its been setup this way. Windows can certainly update few to many drivers which goes thru their ecosystem, many vendors keep control of drivers with them, so you need their own software to be run, many times they run in background as well to be checked with vendor system to know the updates and do it, few times the service is paid so OEM controls or even punish for not paying. So as I saw in this thread Norton is an aggregator, such aggregator can do update many well-known drivers from standard OEM's, they would still not cover many. Many drivers may just fall out of system based on Windows updates and vendor may have just put a "." to lifecycle of its own product, a small timer developer face such thing more often, reason is the app/purpose was temporary, stop gap and other times, Windows integrated the concept product inside their own system to thru them out. Classical case I saw is disk cleaner or disk defrags. So do check on the apps you installed and keep checking their websites for update if you feel features are struggling to work, if its not broken than drivers are simple enough or on stable framework of windows to keep working for years without issue.
