Hello MPBarber329,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.
Have you tried the Windows + E keys on your keyboard to launch File Explorer?
• Here's how to Pin File Explorer on the Taskbar.
a. Search for File Explorer in the search bar on the taskbar, right-click the search result and select - Pin to Taskbar.
• To add a File Explorer shortcut on the desktop,
a. Right-click your desktop and select New > Shortcut.
b. Paste the location - C:\Windows\explorer.exe and click next.
c. File explorer shortcut will be added to the desktop.
If you are having trouble renaming or creating a new folder, run a system file checker utility scan and check if it helps.
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator, execute the commands one by one and click enter for each command. DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth sfc /scannow
Once completed, restart your computer and check if basic operations on the file explorer work.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.
Best regards,
Gunasekar N
