I am experiencing this issue on two different Windows 11 Pro workstations. Our Ricoh (formerly Fujitsu) fi-8170 and fi-7160 USB scanners stopped functioning properly after the 24H2 update.
I have installed the latest TWAIN drivers from Fujitsu's support page on both machines and even performed a fresh installation of Windows 11 Pro, but the problem persists.
While the Windows Scan application from the Microsoft Store functions correctly, it does not address the issue, as our document management application relies on TWAIN compatibility to operate properly.
I understand that the December 10, 2024—KB5048667 (OS Build 26100.2605) update claims to have resolved a related issue, but this appears to be a different problem. Ricoh (formerly Fujitsu) has indicated that Microsoft is aware of this issue and is working on a fix.
Currently, I have more than 40 fi-7160 scanners and over 10 fi-8170 scanners connected to Windows 11 Pro workstations, with updates paused to avoid disruptions. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue.
