I would love to get an easy way to select Windows 7 soundpacks for diffrent actions on my PC.

I know that i can easyily change sound like error messages an stuff but i would love my PC to play the Windows 7 startup, shutdown, logon and logoff sound.

I know there are ways with Powershell, .vbs and .bat files to get a workaround but it's janky and dont always work.

Please Microsoft, bring back a simple way to activate and change these sounds.

I beg you.

Good day, thanks for your question. As of the time being, there is no direct or native option to select legacy sound schemes (like those from Windows XP or Windows 7), and for this I would suggest is for you to send a feedback to the relevant team via the Feedback Hub app by pressing Windows key + F and this should launch the app and hopefully this will be available sooner or later.

    Regards,

    Paul R.

I opened a thread in the feedback hub, everyone who sees this should go and upvote it, so we can finally enjoy the old sounds of Windows again! https://aka.ms/AAu6p4u
