Hello, tmaxbyc
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Thank you very much for your feedback. I have carefully read the information and problem description you provided.
I understand that this problem is causing you trouble. I looked up your computer model online and found that your computer uses a 720P resolution LED screen.
The flickering problem of the LED screen may indeed occur at low brightness. The cause of the problem is related to the hardware. This phenomenon is usually related to the following two factors.
- PWM dimming is a common screen brightness adjustment method. If the PWM frequency is low (usually less than 1 kHz), within the range that the human eye can distinguish, it will cause the screen to flicker noticeably at low brightness.
- Unstable power supply
If the power supply of the screen is unstable, especially at low brightness, it may cause uneven power supply to the backlight, causing flickering.
I suggest you try the following methods, which may help your current problem.
- Update the driver: Make sure the monitor driver and firmware are the latest version. Sometimes updating the driver can improve brightness control and flickering problems.
- Adjust power settings: Ensure that the power supply is stable. You can use a high-quality power adapter, UPS or voltage stabilizer to assist with power stability.
