updated windows and now my fan has stopped working

So, I just went through the latest update (1/14/25) and now I get a message when powering up that my fan is not working. This seems to be a common issue. How do I uninstall the update I got today so everything works again? I don't want to edit the bios, I want to uninstall the update so everything works like it did last night.

This part is a gripe...

I thought that after upgrading to windows 11 the problems with updates causing issues on computers that were working properly before the updates had been fixed. My computer was on the receiving end of this windows 11 issue at least 12 times. Well, it turns out **I was wrong**.

The windows 10 updates would remove my mouse/touchpad drivers. Yes, not just the drivers, but the listing where the drivers went was gone too. Now with windows 11 we are seeing the updates screwing up the fan on our computers. This is a critical component that was working properly before the updates. Are you (microsoft - intentionally small "m") testing these updates on older computers before the update is release, or just on the latest systems. FYI my computer is 7 years old, and like a lot of users over 40 I don't see a reason to buy a new computer until the one I have won't do what I need it to do.

mine did the same thing it's bricked my whole motherboard as it will not recognise any fan headers through BIOS or any other attempted fix.

nothing state of above has worked.

I even tried rolling back to 22H2.

    reset CMOS

    reset default BIOS.

I was using the PC and an update came up. I clicked update and restart.

The PC shut down and upon restart the only fan on was the graphics card fan.

I am at a loss other than spending hundreds of dollars I cannot fix it.

This is no coincidence. absolutely annoyed right now.
