I'm new to this and might not know everything involved. If there's any additional information I need to provide, please let me know. I'd also appreciate it if you could explain things in simple terms or direct me to a step-by-step guide. Thank you!
This is all so I can download the "2024-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5048652)"

Here are the files I have:

Its an installation error after reaching installation 100% [Where it should have completed]. "0x800f081f". I tried all other methods. Will not try this method if it alters my laptop to downgrade to windows 10

    Option 1: Repair install

For Windows 11, please use the Windows 11 ISO.

    1. Download Windows 11 Media Creation Tool (MCT) from this link:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2156295

    1. Run MCT and download the ISO it recommends for your system. Do *not* uncheck "Use the recommended options for this PC".
    2. Right-click on the downloaded ISO and choose "Mount." This assigns the ISO a drive letter.
    3. Run setup.exe from the ISO drive. This starts the in-place upgrade/repair installation.

(Your files, settings and applications will be preserved if you use the ISO recommended for your system by the Media Creation Tool.)

    (or)

Option 2: Fix the CBS error surgically

To determine if this issue can be fixed without repair installing, upload your CBS logs to OneDrive and share the link here.

    • c:\windows\logs\cbs\                   <= Zip and upload all files in this folder.

    Hi Justin, This is Ramesh.

0x800f081f is a CBS error. Hundreds of manifest files are missing from the system. The easiest way to fix this issue is by performing a repair installation.

    Please do the following:

    1. Download Windows 10 Media Creation Tool (MCT) from this link:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=2265055

    1. Run MCT and accept the license agreement.
    2. Click "Upgrade this PC now". This starts the repair installation.

Your apps, settings, and files will be kept by default during a repair install/in-place upgrade.
