My motherboard is Gigabyte F2A78M-HD2 with two RAM slots.
My problem start after my power supply stop working I take my PC to service after a week my PC was ready to be use with installed new Windows 11 Pro 64 bit .

but when I get home and power up my PC my RAM was only 8GB before to take my PC to service was 16 GB two RAM sticks 2 x 8 GB 1600MHz . I go to the bios to check why my PC is use only one RAM stick. The values on one of the RAM sticks was with very low values compare to working RAM stick (both RAM sticks are same model) is like PC is not recognize it. I ring to the service to ask them about my problem they explain to me - is possible one of the RAM stick to have a faulty. Later same day I found new RAM sticks 2 x 16 GB 1600MHz in internet. Before to make my purchase on my new RAM sticks I check the manufacturer on my motherboard Gigabyte, can my motherboard support 32 GB RAM the information was - can support up to 32 GB. After I saw this info I make my purchase. After almost two weeks my new RAM sticks arrive to my address. I change both of RAM sticks before to power up my PC I check if RAM sticks are connect properly I didn't find any issue. I Power up my PC check my RAM and it is 16 GB not 32 GB. I already check in Bios and both RAM sticks is visible with same values. Before to change my power supply with new one and my previous Windows 11 Enterprise in Task Manager ->Performance->Memory where is Slots used was 2 of 2 now on Windows11 Pro in Task Manager ->Performance->Memory where is Slots used is 1of 4 Slot 1 - empty

Slot 2 - 4.0 PB, 1600MHz , Slot 3 - empty, Slot 4 - empty

Can my problem be from Windows 11 Version?

    Hi ,

    I understand, I didn't consider this problem according to the report, you researched the memories and compatibility before purchasing and it was recognized in the correct Bios, but I'm happy that you solved the problem.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi ,

    Well, I'm just explaining that your PC is compatible with Windows 11 due to the processor, you can use it but it may present problems when using the operating system.

    https://learn.microsoft.com/pt-br/windows-hardw...

    Check if memory limitation is active

    1. Press Win+R and type the command msconfig, -> Ok;
    2. Click on the System Startup tab, then Advanced Options;
    3. Disable the Maximum Memory option and click Ok;
    4. Restart the computer and run the tests.

    Did you check in the bios that the two modules are recognizing it and did you update the bios?

    Nahhh, my PC is work perfect with win 11 than win 10 is run more smoothly and the load on CPU is less than win 10. So you try to say to which to win 8 or 7 to work better.Thank you for your answer but is not helping me.

    Hi ,

    I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

    Your motherboard is not compatible with Windows 11, as it does not have drivers and may present bugs during use.

    I recommend updating the bios to check if the two memories are recognized by the slot in dual channel mode and then return to Windows 10.

    Hope this helps.
