Why my Intel core I7-6700HQ is not supported by windows 11?

reading the minimum requirements for for windows 11, my processor is more than enough, and the healthy centre says the other

    Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Microsoft say it is not about the strength or speed of the processor, it is about the security functions supported by the processor, you have a 6th gen Intel Core i7 processor, the minimum for Windows 11 is an 8th gen Intel processor.

    Microsoft were testing and adding some more processors, and did add some to the list, they indicate they have now completed testing, and no more processors will be added to the official list.

    They did provide a registry edit to allow Windows 11 to be installed on an unsupported processor, I used that previously and it worked, but since they have released version 24H2 of Widows 11, they seem to have blocked that method.
