Child unable to request for additional time

We are using Family Safety. My kids must send a request to me for time before they are allowed to log in. This way I know their homework and chores are completed.

Others accounts are able to submit the request for time. Only one child gets an error every time try to login. "Something went wrong. We were unable to send your request. Are you connected to the Internet?" What a STUPID message because the PC is connected to internet.

We have tried the following:

  • Rebooting several times
  • Logging into his Microsoft account to ensure its verified and that he is assigned to the correct device
  • Opening up the time limits so that he can log in for an hour daily

He still gets the message when he attempts to send a request. I don't understand why his account is getting this, but the other child account is working perfectly fine.

Please advise how I can correct this stupid issue.

    Dear Ahmad Redza Abd Aziz

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.

Regarding your question, we suggest you check the following.

Verify that your child's account is USER privileges, if it has administrator privileges it may cause a Family Safety feature conflict.

    Re-add the steps.

Sign in to Windows with your Microsoft account.

Press WIN+i to go to Settings > Accounts > Family

Find your child's account to re-add.

(It is recommended that you prioritize communicating with your child that its personal configuration and files may be removed, it is recommended that it logs into its desktop first to back up important information just in case.)

After re-adding, log into Microsoft Family Safety and make sure his account has been re-added.

    Best Wish
