In generally (with some exception) different CPU generations use different socets for installing CPU to motherboard so you can't upgrade just CPU. That requiread also replacing motherboard. It would be better to buy new PC.

2025-01-02T03:14:57+00:00 Thank you. I was hoping for a simple solution of which one to purchase. I am not tech savvy but was hoping to have someone from Microsoft also advise me since they are familiar with my setup.
Happy New Year!

2025-01-02T02:49:20+00:00 Hello,
You will have to upgrade your CPU to at least an 8th Gen Intel Processor.
For a better experience, it might be better to go with at least a 10th Gen Intel processor.
Hope this helps.

2025-01-02T02:45:31+00:00 Hello,
Your CPU does indeed not supported. Here is a list of Intel CPU that supports Win11: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardw...
However, just going by the CPU may not be enough. You also want to make sure the computer's manufacturer still publishes drivers update for your model, otherwise it still may not work properly even if you upgraded your CPU/Motherboard.
