Hello everyone,

I have a capture card that I was hoping to use to stream my gameplay to discord using OBS. I have not been able to get the video to show up, but the audio works. I tried it on another computer and it worked just fine. How can I fix this?

    Hello, FakedPigeon

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Try using different software to see if the issue is specific to OBS. This can help determine if the problem is with the computer or OBS. If it's a computer issue, visit the computer manufacturer's website and the capture card manufacturer's website to update all drivers and firmware, then try again.

Additionally, you can try different ports.

If it's an OBS issue, check the OBS settings to ensure the correct video capture device is selected, and that the resolution and frame rate settings in OBS match those of the capture card.

Also, don't forget to check the privacy settings on Windows to ensure OBS has permission to access your camera and microphone.

What do you mean by "the computer manufacturer's website"? (I built my pc)

What's the model of your motherboard? And your graphics card? Go to the motherboard and graphics card manufacturers' websites to update the drivers and BIOS.

    Hello,

I have tried using XSplit and the same issue was present.

The manufacturer's website does not have any drivers available to download (rybozen.us)

What do you mean by "the computer manufacturer's website"? (I built my pc)

I have tried different ports, and it still wont work.

I forgot to mention that the main issue was the OBS was not detecting my device at all. It would not appear in the source dropdown menu.

I was looking through windows settings and OBS was not on the list for camera permissions, is there a way for me to get it on there?
