My Internal microphone on Windows 11 is not working Why is it not working?

I got this windows 11 for Christmas last year and the internal microphone stopped working on my Discord app and my camera recorder app and My audio recorder app the microphone worked on January 1 to January 5 or maybe the 6 but I uninstalled drivers and reinstall the drivers back still didn’t show anything improving. I also tested on the windows 11 audio recorder. Still nothing. I even recorded a video of myself saying a few things to see if it had playback of audio . It didn’t play any audio back to me. I even went to update to see if there was an update that needed to be done and discord will use my microphone on the website, but not the app and then the Camera app and the recorder app or just not detecting my mic at all I literally tried everything and still have no luck so I hope that there could be people that could help me

I'm having the same issue, but when I look under system/sound/input, it shows "no input devices found"

Hi, I know it’s been a couple of days but discord the Camera app the voice recorder app still won’t detect my internal mic, and I went on discord on the website to test my mic out, and I noticed when I talked to hear my voice playback. If I talk really loud, it will start cutting out my mic and I’ve got this computer 30 days ago because Christmas was 30 days ago and my mic worked perfectly fine on the 25th, all the way to the the 4th or 5th and then after that I’ve done reset my voice settings on Discord to see if that was the issue. I went to the settings to see if those were all right, and they were. I went to record myself on the camera inside a few things to see if it will play back any audio it didn’t so I don’t know, what’s next and I already checked drivers they’re up-to-date

Yeah that question that was asked and that y'all replied to it was mine question I don't know why it's saying a user was asking it but it was mine yes my mic stopped working on the 6 or the 5th I guess after an update I don't know I can't even use my microphone properly on discord or the camera app or the recorder app And when I talk my mic is barely putting out any bars or voice bars whatever you want to call it and the camera app I recorded myself saying a few things to see If it will play any audio back to me it did not I went on record app it made little lines in the audio recording but it didn't play back any noise and when I tapped on my desk to see if it will pick up any sort of wave of sound it made like little dots but it wasn't picking up my voice I've been so so so mad about this I didn't try everything this is my first time having a windows 11 laptop because I got it for Christmas so excited I had a mic that worked until the 5th the 6th the 7th I can't remember and I looked up videos on how to do whatever I needed to do I have a brother Who has took Technology classes He has taken a computer apart and put it back together he knows about a whole lot Experience with technology and I still yet can't find why that my discord app the Camera app the sound recorder app doesn't pick up my mic at all and I literally wanted to cry because I couldn't figure out what was going on I done did everything on my side I don't know

    Hi Dear User

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

Understanding your problem, the built-in microphone on your computer is not working

    Check microphone settings and permissions

    Check the privacy settings:

Click the Start button and select Settings.

    Click Privacy and Security.

Select Microphone in the left menu.

Verify that the Allow apps to access your microphone switch is on.

    Check the sound settings

    • Set the default device.

Right-click on the volume icon in the lower-right corner of the taskbar and select Open Volume Mixer.

Make sure the built-in microphone is set as the default device in the Recording tab.

    • To adjust the microphone volume

In the Recording tab, select the built-in microphone and click Properties.

In the Levels tab, adjust the microphone volume and make sure it is not muted.

    Checking Microphone Settings

Click the Start button (Windows logo) and select Settings, or press Win + I to open Settings.

In the Settings window, click System.

    Select the Sound tab.

On the Sound Settings page, scroll to the Input section.

In the Select the device you want to use drop-down menu, select your built-in microphone.

While speaking, check that the sound level indicator bar responds.

    Reinstall the driver:

Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Locate Audio Inputs and Outputs, right-click the built-in microphone, and select Uninstall Device.

Restart your computer and the driver will be reinstalled automatically.

    Check for audio device conflicts

    Disable other audio devices:

In the Device Manager, disable all other audio input devices and keep only the built-in microphone.

    Restart the computer.

Contact me if you need anything else.

    Best wishes

I have tried everything at this point, there are 2 input devices on my device, one is a stereo mix, which works fine, except it doesn't record my voice and it only records computer audio. While the microphone array, the other one, doesn't do anything at ALL. I updated my computer 3 days ago and it started happening since then. Thank you.
