How do I turn off hardware acceleration for the Microsof widget?

I've already turned off hardware acceleration in Edge. However, when I hover over the Microsoft widget (the one with the weather and news) it sometimes causes my screen to go black for several seconds, which is the symptom I get for hardware accelerated browsers. I couldn't find anything in options there to do this.

    Hello Merek Z,

    I did not see System -> Screen in my settings. I saw System -> Display -> Graphics. When I attempted to go to that setting, the system window closed. I see the following error in my event viewer:

    Understanding your problem, turn off hardware acceleration for Microsoft widgets

    Turn off hardware acceleration in Windows 11

    Turn off hardware acceleration through graphics settings

    Press Win + I to open Settings.

    Go to System > Screen > Display Card > Graphics Settings.

    In the Graphics Performance Preferences page, find "Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling" and turn it off.
