Hello, валентин карпов
Welcome to the Microsoft Community.
Thanks for chiming in with your issue, it appears that you are experiencing a camera in Google Meet that is not working properly. It sounds like you've done some good troubleshooting below are some additional steps that may help troubleshoot the camera issue you're experiencing in Google Meet:
- check the camera settings in Google Meet:
When entering a Google Meet session, check to make sure the correct camera is selected. Sometimes, the wrong camera may be selected (especially if your laptop has multiple cameras or you have an external camera connected).
In Google Meet, click the three dots in the bottom right corner (More Options), go to Settings > Video, and make sure the correct camera is selected.
- Clear your browser cache:
Cached data can cause some problems. You can try clearing your Chrome cache:
Go to Chrome Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear Browsing Data.
Select “Cached images and files” and click “Clear data”.
- Disable hardware acceleration:
Sometimes hardware acceleration can cause camera issues in Google Meet.
In Chrome, go to Settings > Advanced > System and turn off Hardware Acceleration when available.
Restart Chrome and check if the camera is working properly.
- Try incognito mode:
You can turn on Chrome's incognito mode (press Ctrl + Shift + N) and join the meeting again. This can help you see if extensions or settings in your regular browser are causing problems.
- Update Chrome:
Make sure your browser is up-to-date; older versions of Chrome may cause incompatibility issues with Google Meet.
Check for updates by clicking the three dots in the top right corner of Chrome > Help > About Google Chrome. If an update is available, it will be installed automatically.
You can also reinstall Google after uninstalling it, or use Google Meet in another browser.
- Check for Chrome extension conflicts:
Some Chrome extensions, such as Ad Blocker or Privacy Tools, may interfere with camera access. You can temporarily disable the extension to see if the problem is resolved.
You can manage extensions by typing chrome://extensions/ in the address bar.
- Check camera permissions again:
Even though you've already checked, it's recommended to double-check that Chrome has permission to access your camera.
In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Site Settings, and under Permissions, make sure Camera is set to Allow.
Additionally, since the issue only occurs in Google Sessions, it is also recommended that you contact Googlemeet support or Google Support for advice, as there may be a known issue.
