    Hello, dmcbr900rr mcdannald

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Thank you for your feedback. I have carefully read the information and problem description you provided. You mentioned that you are experiencing network issues when using the Xbox app.

I understand that this problem is frustrating for you. When you encounter the problem that the Xbox app prompts that you are not connected to the Internet on Windows 10, there may be several potential causes and solutions for this problem. I can't give you an exact cause, but I suggest that you can try the following methods step by step to troubleshoot the error, which may help you.

Method 1. Check the system time and date settings. Incorrect date and time settings may cause application connection problems.

Right-click the time display in the lower right corner of the taskbar and select "Adjust date/time".

Make sure that "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically" are both enabled.

If not enabled, manually set the correct date and time

Method 2. Resetting the application can solve problems caused by cache or corrupted settings.

Press Win + I to open "Settings".

Select "Apps", and then select "Apps & features" on the left.

Find "Xbox" in the list of apps, click it, and then select "Advanced options".

Scroll down and click the "Reset" button.

Method 3. Check and update Xbox applications and related services. Make sure your Xbox applications and related services are up to date.

    Update Windows and applications:

Open the "Microsoft Store" app, click the three-dot menu in the upper right corner, select "Downloads and updates", and then click "Get updates".

At the same time, check Windows Update in "Settings" to make sure that the system has installed all available updates.

Method 4. Please check the Xbox network settings to ensure that the Xbox network is not restricted and running normally.

Press Win + I to open "Settings".

Select "Games", and then select "Xbox Network" on the left.

Check the status of "Xbox Live Service Status", "Internet Connection", and "Xbox Multiplayer". If there is a problem, follow the prompts to troubleshoot.

Method 5. Modify network settings. Sometimes, the proxy server or DNS settings in the network settings may cause problems.

Press Win + I to open "Settings".

Select "Network and Internet", and then select "Proxy".

Make sure the "Use a proxy server" option is turned off.

Press Win + I to open Settings.

Select Network and Internet, then select Change adapter options.

Right-click your network connection and select Properties.

    Double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).

Select Use the following DNS server addresses, then enter the following DNS servers:

    Preferred DNS server: 8.8.8.8

    Alternate DNS server: 8.8.4.4

Click OK to save the settings.

Method 6. Clearing the Microsoft Store cache can solve many app-related problems.

    Clear the Microsoft Store cache:

Press Win + R to open the Run dialog box.

Type wsreset.exe and press Enter. This command clears the Microsoft Store cache and reopens the Store app.

Method 7. If the above method does not work, reinstalling the Xbox app may help solve the problem.

Uninstall and reinstall the Xbox app:

Press Win + X and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).

Enter the following command to uninstall the Xbox app:

    Get-AppxPackage *xboxapp* | Remove-AppxPackage

After restarting your PC, open the Microsoft Store, search for the "Xbox" app and reinstall it.

Method 7. Resetting the network adapter can fix some problems caused by network misconfiguration.

Press Win + I to open Settings.

Select "Network & Internet", then scroll down and select "Network Reset".

Click "Reset Now" and restart your PC to complete the reset.

    Best regards
