There is a small yellow box that says "Minimize" in the center of my laptop screen. I'm not sure how I turned this function on. How can I remove it?

    Hi Jon,

I'm Dyari. Thanks for reaching out. I will be happy to assist you in this regard.

It seems like a graphical glitch or a corrupted opened app. Restart your computer > Is it still available?

If yes, right-click Start > Task Manager > Process tab > End task all the opened tasks > Is it still there?

You right click in an empty area on your screen and then click Refresh if it shows.

As already suggested in DYARIBARHAM post, reboot your computer.

It is in the middle of the screen. Even if all windows are minimized, it remains in the middle of the screen on the desktop. The mouse icon does change to a pointer when I hover over it but I cannot click or right click the box.

You did not say if you had tried anything to remove it. Have you tried a right click to see what comes up? If you see Refresh, then try that. If you are using an app, have you tried closing it and then reopen it?

At the top right of your screen have you tried the Minimize icon?
