So this is a Microsoft issue not really Activision but the two company needs to work together for this one bc for those who did update to 24h2 its been causing this for those who updated to the 24h2 update might need to revert back to 23h2 so u don't have this issue until the issue gets addressed
Black Ops 6 DirectX error 0x887a0005
Still getting this error, ive DDU’d my drivers, reinstalled the game on a new drive, updated windows, removed my overclock, cleared DirectX cache, lowered game settings, no other game crashes like this, temps are fine, Im just running out of ideas, the beta of BO6 even ran better.
Specs: RTX 4060, i5 13600KF, 16GB 5200Mhz ram

2025-02-03T16:38:34+00:00 If you are on Win 11 24H2, sign up for the Beta channel to install the latest updates which fixes alot of gaming issues.
Since the updates, I no longer have the Direct X errors. -

2025-02-03T13:51:59+00:00 I got it working and it has been working since then. I turned off the "Toggle Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling on or off".

Go to settings gaming turn off, allow your controller to open Game bar
System display graphics turn off optimization for Windows gaming
below click on Call of Duty and change the GPU preference to your GPU
I also made sure any trace of the game bar was uninstalled or stopped
Good luck. I just got a new rig that is very beefy and this was driving me crazy
