Hello, dorine bradley
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
Thank you for your feedback. Projecting your phone's screen to your TV can be done in several ways:
Method 1: Use Wi-Fi and wireless screen casting protocols
Miracast (Wireless HDMI):
If both your phone and TV support Miracast technology, you can follow the steps below to cast screen:
Make sure your phone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Turn on Miracast mode on your TV (please refer to the TV manual for details).
Find the “Device Connection” or “Screen Casting” option in your phone's “Settings” and select your TV to connect.
DLNA:
Many smart TVs support DLNA technology, which allows you to cast videos or pictures from your phone to your TV.
Again, it is important to make sure that your phone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Download and install third-party apps that support the DLNA function, such as “BubbleUPnP” “TV Screen Casting Assistant” and so on.
Open the app, select the media content you want to cast screen, and then select your TV device to play it.
Google Cast (Chromecast):
If you have a Chromecast device or your TV has Google Cast built-in, you can follow the steps below:
Connect your Chromecast to your TV and make sure it's set up to connect to a Wi-Fi network.
Open the Google Home app on your phone and follow the prompts to complete the setup.
In the app that supports Google Cast, tap the cast icon and select your Chromecast device to connect.
Method 2: Use a wired connection
HDMI cable and converter:
If your TV has an HDMI port, you can use an HDMI cable and an MHL, Micro HDMI or Type-C to HDMI converter (depending on the phone interface).
Connect your phone to the HDMI cable via the converter, and then plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your TV's HDMI port.
Switch the TV input source to the corresponding HDMI port, and you can see the phone screen displayed on the TV.
I look forward to your feedback.
