Windows 11, version 24H2 won’t run roblox or allow me to go back or reset laptop

I am on Windows 11, version 24H2 and it won’t allow me to play Roblox. Whenever I try to launch Roblox Player, it tells me there was an unexpected error and afterwards a memory dump, which the memory dump itself isn’t harmful. It will also not reset or go back as it keeps telling me I need support tools. I tried uninstalling roblox fully, looking for updates, reinstalling updates, etc. and nothing seems to work. Does anyone know why this is happening or how to fix it?

No need to apologize, as I made this in hopes of not just getting an answer to my problem, whether it be a solution or just an explanation, but also to see how if there are others who experienced the same thing. You provided more information to the extent of the problem and informed me and others the dangers of using it on the browser. It may be a waiting game, but patience is the key when it comes to the world today. Thanks for the information on the other ways that I did not mention or did not try.

Thanks for the information on the current events of things. I was also wondering if this would be the same for roblox not downloaded in the microsoft store. I want to make sure there aren’t any major differences between the 2 that might cause this problem.

Hello, The Digital Man Welcome to Microsoft Community. It looks like there are some compatibility issues with Roblox downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Microsoft mentioned it’s a known problem:January 14, 2025—KB5050009 (OS Build 26100.2894) - Microsoft SupportEven though that description is about the ARM version of Windows 11, I think the issue is actually with the Roblox installer itself, not the Windows version. The Roblox app on the Microsoft Store is provided by Roblox Corp, not Microsoft—Microsoft just handle the distribution.I’d recommend reporting this problem to Roblox. You can also let the Microsoft developers know about it too.How to send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app - Microsoft SupportYuhao LMicrosoft Community Technical Support

I am also having the same problem with the website. I tried to download it from the Microsoft store, but it says I don't meet architecture x64 even though I meet the requirements. Have you found a solution yet?

I apologize for the intrusion into someone else's problem.

I share the same issue but I wanted to add that I have attempted to use both the store version and the official version of Roblox from their website.

    Neither works.

I have been trying for about two weeks at this point.

I have tried changing the graphics settings to lower settings (I have a powerful pc), I tried making the robloxplayerbeta.exe file not only admin but also tried forcing it to play as a Windows 8 and also Windows 7 versions. None of that worked.

I tried turning off the nvidia overlay as I have heard that overlays from different companies such as Steam (they don't have Roblox though) can cause issues in the games that they intrude upon.

The interwebs (as my wife fondly calls the internet), says that you can play via a browser... don't trust that at all. The browser play is via extensions which often have spyware/virus. I know this because 10 years ago ALL of my information was put into the Dark Web when my now 18 year old grandson played roblox on my then computer at the age of 8 and he started downloading extensions that I was unaware of and I was hacked extremely well by some gent that I found out was in Russia. I even know his email address at the time because it is still linked to an account that I have a back door to but I can't get him off of that account. Anyhow, don't do that is my suggestion on that.

Ultimately, I agree this is probably a Roblox exe problem and it will take Roblox to fix it. It is just a waiting game.
