It says "Something's gone wrong. We may be having trouble with your connection." I tried contacting ATT but they couldn't help. I tried attaching a screenshot but it wouldn't let me submit.

I had same problem, supposedly AT&T canceled the service with McAfee 2 years ago. If you already, had it you could keep using it. After I harped at the customer service rep. They said they no longer support security for PC's. Only for Cell phones. I told them I never got a notice about this. Because after I rebuilt my computer, my former was W10. I upgraded it to W11 back in January. So, I would have had to re-download the app from AT&T. But I tried again searching and it still looked like the web pages are still up saying you can download the Security Suite. But when you try to download you can't. AT&T reps don't help. Most seem clueless. And give you a half-**** response. AT&T doesn't post that they canceled the services with McAfee on the web page. You can never get a proper answer. AT&T used to be very customer service friendly. And would help. Last few years they seem they just don't care. And they are trying to upgrade you to Fiber optic. Problem is Fiber-Optic Internet is not available everywhere. So, the other option is cell phones. You were told you get free Security app McAfee. Cell phone coverage doesn't cover your PC! So, I think AT&T should be sued for false Advertisement of its products and services.

Because the security link doesn't work or keeps looping. And you get nowhere. If other people get this same issue. Someone should get a Lawyer, and we could mass sue AT&T. This has been going on for quite a while. How hard is it to tell your customers that you don't do free McAfee security app and post it on your web page. they're just interested in selling internet services and cell phone and services. If others find this the same. they should be reported to FTC.

I have the same issue as well. I contacted ATT on two different occasions and neither agent mentioned that McAfee is no longer available. The second agent was at least more helpful and even reached out to McAfee support. The latter said the problem is ATT end with their link.

I was initially nudged and then forced to migrate to Internet Air by ATT. I was promised that I will have the same benefits and lower cost and better service. Today, after spending over 2 hours with ATT and McAfee to renew my Anti-virus software subscription, I am informed that ATT is no longer providing McAfee software. Instead ATT is providing Smart Home Manager. But the problem I am facing is that when I take my laptop outside my home then I don't have anti-virus protection. ATT should re-instate the complementary McAfee software for all Internet users. Otherwise our laptop will be corrupted and then when we logon to our home network the whole network will be corrupted.

I have been using ATT's McAfee software for over 6 years and have been very pleased. I (along with many other users) will very much appreciate that ATT stay true to the previous policy.

I am informed that ATT is not providing complementary McAfee software. Instead ATT is providing Smart Home manager. But Smart Home manager is not sufficient as it only monitors the Internet Air (router). So when I take my laptop outside my home network - it is not protected as there is no protection sotware on the laptop. Wish ATT could restore the previous policy - it worked nicely for so many years.

    Hello, JohnN_64

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand that you are experiencing issues with not being able to download McAfee via AT&T, here are some troubleshooting options:

    1. Try using a different browser

Sometimes, problems with the browser itself can cause download issues. Try using a different browser (e.g. Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge, etc.) to download McAfee.

    1. Disable firewalls and third-party security software

Some firewalls or security software may block the download, try temporarily disabling them and then try the download again:

Open the Control Panel and locate the settings for firewalls and security software.

Temporarily disable the firewall and security software.

    Try downloading McAfee again.

Disclaimer: Temporarily turn off antivirus protection. However, keep in mind that if you do so, your device may be vulnerable to threats. So please turn it on immediately once issue fixed.

    1. Check download links and account information

Make sure the download link you are using is official and that your AT&T account information is correct. Log in to the AT&T website, verify your account status, and then try revisiting the download page.

    1. Downloading the Direct McAfee Installer

If you are still having problems downloading from the AT&T website, try downloading the installer directly from the official McAfee website and installing and activating it using your AT&T-provided license:

    Visit the official McAfee website.

Find and download the standard installer for your product.

Complete the installation and activation using the registration code or login information provided by AT&T.

    https://www.mcafee.com/

Disclaimer: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites or any support related to technology.

    1. Disable Ad Blockers and Browser Extensions

Ad blockers or certain browser extensions may also interfere with downloads, try disabling them:

Open your browser settings and locate the Extensions or Plug-ins management page.

Disable ad blockers and other unnecessary extensions.

Refresh the page and try the download again.

    1. Use incognito mode

Sometimes the browser's incognito mode (No Trace Mode) can help with caching and extension issues:

    Open the browser.

Activate incognito mode (this can usually be done by pressing Ctrl + Shift + N or Ctrl + Shift + P).

Visit the AT&T website in incognito mode and try to download it.

If the issue still persists, try providing more information or screenshots via the following and I will do my best to help you further diagnose and resolve the issue.

I look forward to your feedback.

    Best Regards,
