I've succeeded in doing this in the past, but I've forgotten how. Numerous searches in Chrome turn up numerous answers. AND HUNDREDS OF ADS.

I couldn't get past the Ads. Pinning to the taskbar is a significant productivety boost.

Thanks for your help,

SweetTasha

Hi Tasha, I am Paulo and I'd like to help.

You can follow the steps below to pin a website to the taskbar using Chrome

    • Open Chrome, go to the website
    • Click the three dots menu on the upper right of the browser > Cast, save, and share > Create shortcut
    • Once it created the shortcut and it opens the location of it, right-click on the shortcut file then Pin to taskbar

By the way, if you want to get rid of ads on websites it is better to install an ad blocker such as this one:

    https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ublock...

(Disclaimer: This is a non-Microsoft website. The page appears to be providing accurate, safe information. Watch out for ads on the site that may advertise products frequently classified as PUP (Potentially Unwanted Products). Thoroughly research any product advertised on the site before downloading and installing it.)

    Paulo,
I installed ublock. It hasn't caused any problems, so I'm going to continue using it. Thanks for letting me know about it.

    Hi Paulo,
I wouldn't like to block ads. I'd love to block ads. I've tried a couple blockers. They caused some sites to issue a message to the effect that, 'We are unable to execute [whatever] because your ad blocker represents a security risk...' Not a direct quote. Have you heard of anything like that?
I will try ublock and report back my experience,

    Thanks.
    SweetTasha
