High polling rate problem after updating to 24H2

Since I updated my computer to version 24H2 my mouse lags randomly when hovering the desktop, or some win32 apps or roblox, it becomes slower and then teleports after a couple of seconds.

I tried so many things already, mouse drivers, fixes, tweaks, I even reinstalled Windows 11 24H2 with a clean install removing everything from my SSD and the problem started to happen as soon as the OOBE setup ended.

I tried Linux and this problem doesn't happen there.

When I open firefox, edge, a game (except roblox) this lag doesn't happen.

Make & model of the mouse is irrelevant. Bluetooth or wired, also irrelevant. Display count or configuration seems irrelevant also.

Mouse latency was introduced with 24H2.

I've also started to experience this issue RIGHT AFTER updating to Windows 24H2 a couple of days back. I recently bought my new mouse and it was functioning just right before updating the Windows. It isn't anything like I dropped my mouse or there is any hardware issue. I started noticing lag just after I UPDATED WINDOWS.

Mouse starts to lag whenever I open an app and then comes back to normal after a couple of seconds. I don't know that technical terms, but there are different modes of lag. Sometimes, it slides away, sometimes it is jittery movement, and sometimes it simply stops and then teleports. Note that I've many apps open at any time in the background AND it isn't that they are slowing down my PC. I've got a decent rig with i7-9750H, GTX 1650, 32 GB RAM, 2 TB SSD, and 2 TB HDD.

All these background apps used to be opened before updating Windows and all was alright. But after I updated Windows, I've STARTED TO EXPERIENCE lag IMMEDIATELY whenever I open an app. Some apps are exception though. Like Lucas said, this doesn't happen when I open EDGE.

    Hi,

I started experience this issue right after upgrading to 24H2, on my laptop has 23H2 over there mouse works fine,

Whenever I increase the polling rate to 2000hz or above mouse started lag.

    The Workaround Solution:

Only work around i have right now is change the power plan to Balance or Performance Mode, then set the Mouse Polling Rate to 1000hz.

With those settings able to reduce the mouse lag or slow motion mouse pointer problem to some level.

This is so annoying and it's been more than 2 Months and no fix at all,

    Important Note:

This issue cannot easily observed with a normal generic mouse, this mouse issue mostly happen to wireless mouses with high polling rate or high polling rate adapters supporting 2k, 3k, 8k polling rates and when mouse usually function at 2k or higher polling rates.

Microsoft still not addressing this issue is hilarious. My work PC is LITERALLY UNUSABLE.

I've had the same issue since the update as well; I couldn't find a solution as of right now other than to revert my Windows update, which works fine.
