2025-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050411)

Hello,

2025-01 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050411) keeps installing when I check for Updates after the first download and installation.

After each installation I get a You're up to date message.

This problem is similar to the 2024-11 Security Update for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5048239) issue that seems to be fixed.

How do we fix this problem?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Your instructions do not work for me.

When I use the link you sent I get 404-File or directory not found using Edge, Chrome and Firefox.

Is the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter still available?

Am I the only Windows 10 User who has this issue?

Microsoft should fix this problem properly.

    Thank you

    I have different problem.

Managing a mid size company with hundreds of computers.

We had previous KB installed (KB5034441 and KB5048239) and WinReVersion in registry was 10.0.19041.3920+

So, why do we need KB5050411 ? Is the WinRe again vulnerable and now I need to have 10.0.19041.5363 ?

How many times will this vulnerability be patched?

50 DELL Latitude laptops don't have this KB5050411 available to download/install (despite they have enough space (1GB) in WinRe partition and WinREVersion isn't the latest (10.0.19041.5363). Is this KB not realeased widely ? How many hours you have to wait to see the update via Windows update ?

Sick of this Bitlocker/WinRE vulnerability.. time to use ESET Disk Encryption and get rid of this issue once and for all?

PS: This is not the first time.. Remember Print Nightmare vulnerability, that was patched like 5 times and they gave up in the end..

    Thank you for your reply,

Should I hide an update that I need to install on my computer?

Where do I get “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter?

If I hide the update is a previous download of the update installed on my computer?

Hi, good day! I'm John Dev a Windows user like you and I'll be happy to assist you today. I know this has been difficult for you, rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

Please check if you can still use the “Show or Hide Updates” troubleshooter to hide the problematic update. Window Update won’t install hidden drivers or updates. Run the troubleshooter then please try hiding the KB5050411 update that will show in the list. You may try restarting your pc if it helps.
