Certain sites give me a blank page on one device, all browsers.

Hi,

I have the same issue as AAAtech in march 22: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/strange-problem-certain-sites-giving-blank-page-on/b5403692-2cf7-415a-8035-ffb016037dd1

I have tried all the steps I could listed in the answers (not the troubleshooter as Microsoft doesn't have it anymore.) including the list of cmd.

That last step seemed to work great as all 3 pages I had issues with were working as soon as I restarted the computer.

But when clicking on the website to access a different page within the same website, everything went blank again for all three websites.

Computer is an ASUS, vivobook S15 M5506WA.

The three websites I have noticed that don't work are: https://fondra.is/ , https://www.ellieandmac.com/ and https://www.patternprojector.com/en .

All 3 seemed to work on chrome after restart but trying to access another page within fondra brought all 3 websites back to blank in both Chrome and Edge.

The websites work perfectly on other devices connected to the same wifi.

I am at my wits' end.

I found that when I disabled my NordVPN Threat Protection Pro feature I was able to access sites that had the same issues above.

    Hello,Fanny Goupil

Welcome to posting in the Microsoft Community.

Thank you very much for your patience and detailed description of the problem, we fully understand that such a situation can be disturbing and even a bit frustrating. Rest assured you are not alone and let me offer you some thoughts.

Have you ever had a period of time where the problem was alleviated after resetting the network configuration using the command line? If so, it's safe to assume that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) and router should be fine, and that the problem may be related to the browser itself or your system's network settings.

To help you further narrow down the issue and find a solution, we recommend you try the following steps:

    1. Change to a non-Chrome kernel browser:

Try using Firefox or another browser that is not based on the Chromium kernel to see if the problem persists.

    2. Uninstall third-party security software:

Some anti-virus software or firewalls may impose higher security policies and restrictions on the network in your system, we recommend you to uninstall them temporarily and observe the reality of the webpage.

Disclaimer: Temporarily turn off antivirus protection. However, keep in mind that if you do so, your device may be vulnerable to threats. So please turn it on immediately once issue fixed.

    3. Clear your browser's cookies and cache:

Sometimes, cache and cookies may cause pages to load abnormally. Clearing this data can help solve the problem.

    1. Click on the menu in the upper right corner and select “Settings”.
    2. Scroll to the bottom and click “Advanced”.
    3. Under “Privacy & Security”, select “Clear Browsing Data”.
    4. Select “All time”, check “Cookies and other website data” and “Cached images and files”, and then click “Clear Data”.

Disclaimer: Your browser automatically saves temporary internet files to help pages load faster. Clearing this cache will sometimes fix website issues. Please back up all your personal files first, such as Favorites, to ensure you do not lose data.

    4. Stop using IPv6

Recently, some community users have encountered anomalies in their connection to Microsoft servers, and the issue has been resolved by disabling the use of IPv6.

    1. Type "Control Panel" in the bottom search bar and select "Network & Internet > Network and Sharing Center."
    2. Right-click the network connection you're using (for example, Ethernet or wireless) and select Properties.
    3. Search for "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)", uncheck the box and click "OK" to save the settings.

    5. Reset network settings

Press Windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Advanced and check "Use SSL 3.0", "Use TLS 1.0", "Use TLS 1.1", "Use TLS 1.2", restart the computer after the application to see if the problem can be fixed.

    6. Reset Proxy Server Settings

Click Windows + R, type inetcpl.cpl, open Internet Options, click Connections, click LAN Settings, check if the Proxy Server column is enabled, if so, disable them and click OK, restart your computer after applying it to see if you can fix the problem.

    7. Modification of the DNS

    1. Click Windows+R and type ncpa.cpl.
    2. Click the name of the network to which you are now connected, open the Network Status window, click Properties, and then double-click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) in the Network Properties window.
    3. Manually set the DNS server to "4.2.2.1" and "4.2.2.2", OK, restart the computer to see if you can fix the problem.

We realize that the process of troubleshooting a problem can be a bit tedious, but please be assured that these steps can help us get to the root of the problem faster. Regardless, we are always here to support you. If these steps don't solve the problem, please feel free to let us know and we will continue to find a solution for you.

Thank you for your patience and trust, and we wish you all the best!

    Best Regards,

    Rota|Microsoft Community Support Specialist

I have the same problem, using three different browsers, Edge, Brave and Firefox. If I use Tor, the problem goes away. I have tried ALL the steps listed above and the problem persists.

    I use:

    Macfee Virus & Firewall,

    Nord VPN

    Malwarebytes

    AdBlockerPlus

I have tried disabling everything and the problem remains.

The problem started around the first of this year (2025) and I even tried rolling back to an earlier version of Windows11.

One example of a site that won't load is: https://www.sturdysafe.com/

Thank you for your response. At the moment, after the second time using the command line, the websites work. I will keep this page bookmarked for future reference should the problem come back.
