O instalador retorna o seguinte erro:

The path C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{...} cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi in a folder from which you can install the product Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 X64 Minimum Runtime - 14.29.30133.

Já tomei as seguintes medidas para tentar resolver o problema:

  1. Desinstalei todas as versões anteriores do Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable pelo Painel de Controle.
  2. Reparei arquivos corrompidos do sistema usando os comandos sfc /scannow e DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
  3. Limpei resíduos no diretório C:\ProgramData\Package Cache, mas o problema persiste.

Sistema Operacional:

  • Windows 10 Pro (64 bits) - Versão 21H2
  • Compilação do SO: 19044.1586

EN:

I am encountering issues when trying to install the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015-2022 (X64). The installer returns the following error message:

The path C:\ProgramData\Package Cache\{...} cannot be found. Verify that you have access to this location and try again, or try to find the installation package vc_runtimeMinimum_x64.msi in a folder from which you can install the product Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 X64 Minimum Runtime - 14.29.30133.

I have taken the following steps to try and resolve the issue:

  1. Uninstalled all previous versions of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable through the Control Panel.
  2. Repaired system files using the commands sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth.
  3. Cleared residual files in the directory C:\ProgramData\Package Cache, but the issue persists.
  4. Downloaded installers directly from the official Microsoft website to ensure file integrity.
  5. Tried using the Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter, but it does not detect the issue since all previous versions have already been removed.

Current Situation:
It seems the installer is trying to access a path that no longer exists due to the prior removal of older versions. This prevents both the installation and reinstallation of the newer versions.

I would like to know if there is an official method to force the installation or to resolve the dependency issue with the missing file.

Additional Steps Taken:

  • I downloaded older versions (e.g., 2015, 2017, 2019) to attempt a repair of missing files, but the issue persists.
  • Restarted the Windows Installer service without success.

Request:
I need guidance on how to resolve this problem, either through an official repair procedure or by recreating the missing installation path to allow the installer to proceed.

Operating System:

  • Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) - Version 21H2
  • OS Build: 19044.1586

    Hello Gabriel Santos,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Microsoft Answers Community.

Based on the description, it seems that the system is unable to uninstall the old version of Visual C++ redistributable before installing the new version. Please try running this troubleshooter first, and follow the instructions to force uninstall the 2015-2022 runtimes. Then, download and install both the X86 and X64 version of the runtime, and see whether they can be installed successfully.

Also, please note that the support for Windows 10 21H2 has stopped in 2023. If that does not work, you can try using the Update Assistant to update the system to 22H2, or using the Windows 11Installation Assistant to update to Windows 11 is the computer is able to,

We look forward to your response.

    Best Regards,
