Is my windows 10 laptop 32-bit or 64-bit?

I don't know if my laptop is 32-bit or 64-bit.

I upgraded it from windows 7 a few days ago, and it automatically installed the 32-bit version.

And I can't use some of the apps I had because it says "this app can't run on your PC" even though I've had it installed before.

If it is 64-bit, how do I change it from 32-bit to 64-bit?

Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) B820 @ 1.70GHz

Installed RAM: 2.00GB

System type: 32-bit operating system, x64-baced processor

I would really appreciate your help

(I'm also broke and can't afford anything else 😭)

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Your processor is a 64bit processor, but you have the 32bit version of Windows installed.

Your laptop is compatible with the 64bit version of Windows, but to go to the 64bit version, you would need to backup your files, create a new bootable Windows 10 USB using the Media Creation Tool and use that USB to clean install the 64bit version of Windows 10.

One other thing, with only 2GB of RAM the 64bit version of Windows 10 will be very slow when compared to the 32bit version.

You would need an empty 8GB USB flash drive for the installation USB.

    Click this link:

to download the Media Creation Tool (Click on Download Tool Now), with that you can download the latest Windows 10 ISO (Select Create Installation Media for Another PC), you can create a bootable USB flash drive (min 8GB) using that tool

Then, Boot your PC from the Installation Media you just created (change Boot Order in your BIOS) to begin installing Windows 10

During the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC'.
