How to fix blurry system apps on Windows 11?

There was an issue on Windows 10 when all system apps appear blurry if you set a display scaling to any value different from 100%. I thought it was fixed already but now I see it on Windows 11. I am using a 4K (2160p) display with 150% (Recommended) scaling and no, changing to 100% is not acceptable to me - everything is too small.

Is there any setting to fix this? I know you can change DPI settings for a specific app, but what can I do for something like Device Manager or Properties?

    Hi Jeronimo,

Thank you for the answer. I can't find the option you mentioned. I found the same information on this page but it is for Windows 10. I think it was removed or moved somewhere else in Windows 11 when the new Settings app was introduced. I am using Windows 11 Home 23H2.

Here is what my settings look like:

    Nothing to see here either:

The interesting part is that system applications are the only applications I ever had a problem with. No other application I ever used had a problem with DPI scaling.

Hello, I same the same problem.
Only system apps and installation wizards are blurred when other applications seem to be working fine.

Hi, Mykhailo, I am Jeronimo, Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

I understand the situation, you could try to enable System-Wide DPI Awareness:

1.- Open the Display Settings by right-clicking on your desktop and selecting it.

    2.- Advanced Scaling Settings:

3.- Scroll down to the Scale and Layout section.

4.- Click on Advanced scaling settings.

5.- Under Fix scaling for apps, toggle the option Let Windows try to fix apps so they’re not blurry to On.

6.- Restart your computer to apply the settings.

You can also try to switch to a custom scaling factor

1.- In the Display Settings, click Advanced scaling settings.

2.- Use the Custom scaling field to enter a scaling percentage, e.g., 149% or 151%, instead of the default 150%.

3.- Apply the settings and restart your computer.
