Hello JoshW1921 and welcome to the Microsoft Community!
Based on your feedback, you are experiencing an issue where you are unable to find the option for Hardware Acceleration.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but Microsoft has now removed the hardware acceleration option.
Now Microsoft has removed the hardware acceleration setting, so you can't find this option in the settings anymore.
However, the current registry modification method is effective.
That is, after modifying the registry, you still can't see the hardware acceleration option.
But the option is enabled.
I'd like to check with you the path to the registry.
I will send you my method, if you see a difference, you can follow this method to change it.
Enable the Hardware Accelerated GPU program:
- Press Windows + R, type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers.
- Locate the HwSchMode key, set its value to 2, and restart your system. Disclaimer: Modifying the registry or workgroups is usually geared towards advanced users, administrators, and IT professionals, and it can help fix some problems, however, improper registry modifications can cause serious problems. Therefore, please make sure to strictly follow the steps below. For further protection, make a backup of the registry before modifying it.
