The following are some web-only online tools that allow users to read .epub files by simply uploading the files:
- Google Play Books
Availability: for almost all operating systems (Windows computers accessed through a browser).
Benefits: No additional downloads are required and files can be safely stored in your Google account. Supports the full .epub file reading experience, including bookmarks and annotations.
Steps:
a. Open Google Play Books.
b. Sign in to your Google account (customers will need a Google account).
c. Click Upload File and select the .epub file you want to read, the file will appear in the cloud later. d. Use Google Play Books online to download the file.
d. Use Google Play Books' online reader to read it.
If the client supports approval of download programs: recommended desktop readers
If the client or its management allows approved application installations, try one of the following free and reliable desktop readers:
- Calibre

Suitability: Full-featured eBook reader that supports all major platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux).
Benefits: Supports .epub and other formats, and users can customize their reading experience as needed.
