My audio has simply just vanished on my windows 10. I know its old etc but so am I. No sound or mic whatsoever, Not even showing up in my volume icon in the audio mixer. I didn't install and hadn't updated anything new. No new updates, nothing. Just gone! I'm ok with it and just want my sound back so that I can listen to my music again and listen to youtube etc. I've rolled back, uninstalled audio devices, checked this, checked that, scrolled here and scrolled everywhere and rebooted 1000 times after again but all to no avail. Can anybody provide me with just a set of audio drivers or a link that allows me to just download and install audio drivers for my though, very old, windows 10 operating system please so that I can just click install it, restart my PC and be able to just carry on with my old life again? I just cant go out and buy a new pc as I'm not a wealthy person. I hope someone can help me. Thank you

Hi Barrie, thank you for your reply.

Click the link below to download the audio drivers for your Dell Inspiron 1545 model PC.

    https://dl.dell.com/FOLDER88980M/2/R264250.exe

Install the audio drivers and restart your computer. Check the audio output.

Note - Clicking on the link above will directly download the audio driver for your device. The link is safe, and you can also download it from the Dell Website here.

    Thank you "Gunasekar N"

I've already tried the system restore many times previously thanks, but never does it fix it and has always only ever continued to show the same issue.

If you can/could get a link or file so that I can just actually install and load the audio drivers as I am not really that IT minded. Hence why I am ok with just my old machine as it does what i need it for and I am that old, At my old age I don't really want to be having to learn a whole new education if you know what I mean.

Thank you for picking up on this as you have and I look forward to your earliest reply

    Hello ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.

I am sorry that you are experiencing audio issues on your Windows 10 Operating system.

    1. May I please know the details of your device to find the right drivers from your PC manufacturer's website?

Type Msinfo in the search bar on the taskbar and click enter.

Post a screenshot of the resulting dialog box here.

You can also go to your PC manufacturer's website and download the drivers for your device.

If the audio disappeared recently, please give a system restore method a try.

    a. click Windows + R key, type rstrui.exe and click Ok.

    b. Click Next and select the date/time you would like to restore your PC.

    c. Click Next and finish to complete the restoration.

I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.

    Best regards,

    Gunasekar N
