Windows 10 - Galaxy buds3 pro won't use stereo and only uses handsfree

I am on windows 10 and have connected my Galaxy buds3 pro to my computer. I have the galaxy wearables app on my computer as well. When i connect to my computer, it automatically uses the ag hands free audio, instead of stereo. When i select stereo, there is no sound that comes out of my earbuds. if i'm using the hands free audio, it does not sound good at all. I am able to select the stereo option, but nothing comes out when I do.

I tried using the bluetooth troubleshooter and reinstalled (I think) the driver for that, and i'm still having the issues.

Thank you for the confirmation. Let's check through the classic sound settings menu. Let's disable Hands-free instead.

Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.

    Type mmsys.cpl and press Enter.

In the Playback tab, locate your Galaxy Buds 3.

    You may see two entries:

    Stereo (high-quality audio).

    Hands-Free (low-quality telephony profile).

    Right-click on the Hands-Free option (e.g., "Galaxy Buds 3 Hands-Free AG Audio")

    and select Disable.

    Click Apply, then OK.

Then, please Switch to the Recording tab.

Locate the Galaxy Buds 3 Hands-Free microphone.

Right-click on it and select Disable.

    Click Apply, then OK.

Please let me know if you have any more questions, I'll do my best to respond as soon as possible.

Thank you for the confirmation. There's only one input option in your recording tab. If you want to use your Microphone through calls, please make sure to enable the Hands-free on both input, and output.

On Windows systems, when a Bluetooth headset's microphone is activated, the connection switches from A2DP to HSP or HFP, leading to diminished audio playback quality. This is due to the bandwidth limitations inherent in Bluetooth's design.

Consequently, it's not feasible to achieve high-quality stereo audio playback while simultaneously using the microphone over a Bluetooth connection on Windows.

You will need to either use an external microphone or have a wireless 2.4ghz headset with a dedicated USB dongle.

I've disabled both, but I now have no option to use my microphone on the earphones. when disabling the hands free audio for the speakers, there were 2 options.

on the recording section though, there is ONLY the hands free ag Audio

Should there be a 2nd input option on the recording tab?

When I go to devices (which then says Bluetooth and other devices once i click into it) there is no other devices option. There is an other devices section, but that doesn't have an option for LE Audio. nothing comes up either when I search for it.

Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor. I'm glad to help you today!

Please try to disable LE audio.

Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.

Click on "Devices" (or "Bluetooth & devices" in newer versions).

    Scroll down and select "Devices".

Look for the option labeled "Use LE Audio when available" and toggle it off

    Kind Regards,

    Charity
