Hi, This is Ramesh.
Please press and hold the Shift key, right-click on a search result, and click "Open file location" or "Open folder location" (the built-in option). It opens a new explorer window.
Does that help?

Many years ago I found a VBScript that added "Open Folder Location". This was NOT the Windows Built in "Open Folder Location".
* The Windows Default "Open Folder Location" = Takes you out of Search. If the file is not the correct file. You have to start Search All Over Again.
* The 3rd party VBScript "Open Folder Location" = This added a New 2nd Open Folder Location which opens a New Window. If the file is not the same, you just close the new window because the original Search window is open.
Does anyone know the location of this new version? Back in my apartment in Hungary I have it on my external drives. I'm currenlty visiting my mother and have not been able to find any articles, either VBScript version or Registry version. All the versions I have found DO NOT work. I've tried the Windows 10 and 11 forum pages. I've found versions but none work. I think it was Ramesh Srinivasan who originally posted the version I have named as 3rd Party https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/profile/5c01ec07-7667-4c6f-910c-008988c810e3 but I don't see it on his profile. I think when I found it was back in 2014 or 2015.
Thank you for your help. 🖖😊
