Is it safe to reinstall just the Nvidia app?

I have the Nvidia app on my new laptop and it stopped optimising games and says it can’t find the optimal settings. Is it safe to uninstall just the Nvidia app without touching the driver and reinstalling the app or will that cause problems? Will the app still offer driver updates later down the line?

    Yes, it is safe to uninstall and reinstall the NVIDIA app without affecting your graphics driver. The NVIDIA app is separate from the core GPU driver, so removing it will not impact your graphics functionality.

    In this case, NVIDIA driver remains installed and your graphics card will continue to work as normal. But the GeForce Experience features (such as game optimization, recording, and driver updates) will be temporarily unavailable until you reinstall it.
