How to Download an Image with a Keyboard?

I recently started relying more on keyboard shortcuts to speed up my workflow, but I realized I don't know how to download images using just the keyboard. Usually, I right-click an image and select "Save Image As," but I’d love to know if there’s a way to do this without using a mouse at all.

I’m currently using a Dell laptop, and sometimes, my trackpad becomes unresponsive, making it difficult to right-click. This made me wonder—what are the best keyboard shortcuts for saving images on Windows, macOS, and browsers like Chrome, Edge, or Firefox? Also, are there any built-in tools or accessibility options for downloading images in a more efficient way?

Additionally, I’d appreciate some guidance on how to troubleshoot this on my Dell laptop in case this is related to a keyboard or trackpad issue. If the problem persists, should I visit a Dell Laptop Service Center in Mumbai to check for hardware malfunctions? Looking forward to helpful insights!

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There is currently no shortcut to donwload an image in Chrome based browsers, you would first need to navigate through the web page to select the image and then right click the image, if your touchpad is not working, how are you managing to navigate around the web pages?

The best option if your touchpad is not working correctly would be to go to the support page for your laptop on the Dell website to download and re-install (not update) the version of Chipset drivers and Touchpad drivers they provide for your laptop model.

Is your track-pad an external device? If so, and you connect it to a different computer, does it ever become unresponsive? That would suggest an issue with the track-pad.

I presume that you are using the TAB key on your computer's keyboard to jump from one "field" on a web-page to the next field, and/or using SHIFT-TAB to jump to the previous field. Can you repeatedly use the TAB key to move the "focus" onto the image, to highlight it?
