Hi all,

I've been trying to upgrade to Windows 11 24H2, but I keep failing every time.

I also attempted to upgrade using an ISO, but that didn't work either.

I've attached a link to my setupact.log—I hope someone can help me with this.

Thank you in advance!

i got the BSOD message Driver Overran Stack Buffer during the 2nd boot phase.

    Appreciate any advice from you.

    Thanks

The BSOD was caused by the following driver.

    C:\Program Files (x86)\senseshield\ss\service\sprotect.sys

    1. Please uninstall all senseshield software.
    2. Open Windows Security, Device Security. Enable Memory Integrity.

If it shows incompatible drivers, post the screenshot here.

    1. If Memory Integrity turns on correctly, rerun the 24H2 setup.

    Hi there,

    Please do the following:

    1) Clean boot the system.

A clean boot is the process of starting Windows without loading third-party apps and services. Please see this Microsoft article for more information.

How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support:

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows-da2f9573-6eec-00ad-2f8a-a97a1807f3dd

(Step 3 is very important. You need to first enable "Hide all Microsoft Services" before clicking "Disable all".

    2) Run Disk Cleanup.

    Launch "cleanmgr.exe" as administrator.

    Select the C: drive.

Select all the checkboxes including the "Device driver packages" option.

    Click OK.

    Click "Delete  Files" when prompted.

Then, in-place upgrade to 24H2 using the ISO.

If the setup doesn't succeed, share your latest setup logs. The following batch file collects the setup logs and saves the zip file to your desktop.

Download setuplogscollect.bat and run it as administrator.

    https://winhelponline.com/files/setuplogscollect.bat

Right-click on the downloaded file and click Properties. Click "Unblock" and click OK.

Right-click on the file and choose "Run as administrator"

It outputs a SetupLogs.zip file on your desktop.

Share the file on OneDrive or Dropbox and post the download link here.
