is window 11 going to cost me ? and if so how much ? my laptop is fairly new i dont feel i should be updating anything really

    It is free as an upgrade from Windows 10.

    Just go to Settings > Windows Update and check if the upgrade is available. If it is, you can install it right from there.

    I’ve upgraded before without paying anything, so if your device qualifies, you’re all set!

    Updating Windows is free. It is completely optional to update your Windows system, but just know that you won't be receiving newer security or feature updates.

    How can we know? You haven't told us what version of Windows you have now.

    Upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11 is free.
