I had the same issue. My computer is HP ProDesk 400 G5 Desktop Mini.
Now I use an USB to 3.5 mm audio adopter to connect my headphone. It works fine.

o Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
o Expand Sound, video and game controllers.

o If the driver is up to date, try selecting Uninstall device and then restart your PC. Windows should reinstall the drivers automatically.
