I had the same issue. My computer is HP ProDesk 400 G5 Desktop Mini.

Now I use an USB to 3.5 mm audio adopter to connect my headphone. It works fine.

    Hi Anya,

Thanks for reaching out! I'm Arvind, and I'll be happy to assist you today.

If your 3.5mm headphone jack is not detected after upgrading to Windows 11, try the following steps:

    1. Check Physical Connections:

o Ensure the headphones are securely plugged into the jack.

o Test the headphones on another device to confirm they are functioning.

    1. Run the Audio Troubleshooter:

o Go to Settings > System > Sound.

o Scroll down and click on Troubleshoot under the Advanced section. Follow the prompts to detect and fix issues.

    1. Update Audio Drivers:

o Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.

o Expand Sound, video and game controllers.

o Right-click your audio device and select Update driver. Choose Search automatically for drivers.

o If the driver is up to date, try selecting Uninstall device and then restart your PC. Windows should reinstall the drivers automatically.

    1. Set the Headphones as Default Device:

o Go to Settings > System > Sound.

o Under Output, see if your headphones are listed. If they are, select them as the default device.

If you have any additional questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help!

    Best regards,
