In this case, you need to contact the AMD support team regarding the compatibility issue (DisplayPort versions differences) with Samsung LF24T35 since the issue seems related to the gpu itself.
Second Monitor not Detected
I have two Samsung LF24T35 monitors and an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card, which has one HDMI input and three DisplayPort inputs. When I connect either monitor to the HDMI input, they work without any issues. However, when I try to connect the second monitor to one of the DisplayPort inputs, it doesn’t display any image, im using Windows 10.
Things I’ve tried:
- Updating, reinstalling, and rolling back drivers.
- Detecting displays in the Windows display settings section.
- Testing all the DisplayPort inputs on the graphics card.
- Changing the display configuration using Windows + P.
- Trying different cables. Both monitors have a VGA and an HDMI input. For the second monitor, I tried connecting it with an HDMI cable and using an HDMI-to-DisplayPort adapter, but it didn’t work. I also tried using an HDMI-to-DisplayPort cable, but that didn’t work either.
- I managed to get the second monitor to display an image by using a VGA cable with two adapters: one VGA-to-HDMI adapter and another HDMI-to-DisplayPort adapter. The monitor works, but when I start any game or heavy program, the second monitor starts flickering, and the PC begins to run very slowly.
- I even formatted my PC, but the issue persists.
Things to consider:
- Both monitors and all cables work perfectly.
- Both monitors work when connected to the HDMI input on the graphics card as the primary monitor.
- If I disconnect the HDMI and leave only one monitor connected to one of the DisplayPort inputs on the graphics card, it doesn’t detect it.

2025-02-21T04:39:27+00:00 I see.. Since this is not a driver-related issue, you will need an Active HDMI-to-DisplayPort adapter, as many users have successfully resolved similar problems by utilizing this type of adapter.

Many Samsung LF24T35 monitors require manual activation of DisplayPort 1.2+ for proper compatibility.
Steps to enable DisplayPort 1.2:
- On the working monitor, press the Menu button.
- Navigate to System > DisplayPort Version.
- Change it from 1.1 to 1.2 (or higher).
- Save settings and restart the monitor.
- Reconnect the monitor using the DisplayPort cable.
By the way, make sure you are using Active HDMI-to-DisplayPort adapter which supports signal conversion, rather than the passive HDMI-to-DisplayPort adapter.
I hope this helps, but please let me know if you need anything else.
