Google Chrome freezes

Google Chrome freezes many times while I use it and the only way to un-freeze it is to restore it and maximize it again.

    I turned off Chrome's graphics acceleration and so far, it is not freezing. Thank you for your help.

    Hi, good day! I'm John Dev a Windows user like you and I'll be happy to assist you today. I know this has been difficult for you, rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

    When was the last time it worked properly? Have you made any changes to your computer recently?

    Please try the following methods below.

    1. Please try to update your Google Chrome browser

    Open Chrome > Click 3 dots > Help and Feedback > About Chrome

    1. Clear cache and cookies

    Open Chrome > Click 3 dots > Settings

    Select Privacy, search, and services > Under Clear browsing history

    Click Choose what to clear

    Select your preferred Time Range and items to clear

    Click Clear Now

    1. Disable or Uninstall Chrome extensions

    Open Chrome > Click 3 dots > Extensions

    Please check if one of your extensions is causing the issue

    1. Disable Hardware acceleration

    Open Chrome then click 3 dots

    Select Settings > System and Performance

    Toggle off "Use hardware acceleration when available"

    Restart your browser

    If the issue still persists, you may need to consider performing a Reset of Chrome.

    Open Chrome then click 3 dots > Settings

    Select Reset Settings > Restore settings to their default values

    Click Reset

    Restart your computer
