    This is a known problem with Win11 24H2 that MS and HP haven't bothered to fix.

    Reverting to 23H2 could work -- my computer with 23H2 doesn't have this issue.

    With 24H2, I have been able to use the scanner by restarting the computer with the scanner attached and turned on. Terrible solution, but it works as long as you don't let the scanner power time out.

    workarround by Reverting to 23H2 and disable the update to 24H2 through the GP.
