When i turn my computer on, sometimes the mouse scroller speed is super slow and is slow in all programs. To fix it all i need to do is simply restart my computer and it fixes itself. How can i stop it from slowing down randomly. I have never touched the mouse scroll settings and when i change the settings when it is slow it doesn't change/

I have the same issue. It occurred to me right after doing the most recent windows update around Valentine's day.

At first boot up in the morning, the wheel mouse scrolls very slowly. If I restart the computer, the scrolling works normally.

The next morning, same thing, the scrolling with the mouse wheel was extremely slow. For this instance, I unplugged the mouse (corded) from the back of my pc and reinserted it into the same usb port. This immediately fixed the problem; however, the next morning when I boot up for the first time, it's super slow again.

I unplugged the cord again from the usb port and tried another port (on the pc still - not a hub) and this immediately resolved the problem.

Today when I booted up, the scrolling is extremely slow again.

Note that in all instances of the issue, the settings on the pc were not changed or needed to be changed and even when changing them, they did not help the issue other than when drastically increasing the number of lines to scroll to get something that's close to what was normal scrolling for me. My mouse drivers are also all up to date.

Is there a fix for this?

I'm glad this worked for you but it did not work for me. I do not have an MS Mouse. I believe the user at the following issue heading: "USB Mouse wheel hardly scrolls / scrolls very slow since Windows 24H2" clearly defines the issue I am still having. Having to unplug and plug the mouse back in to make it work is NOT a fun morning ritual. I hope they provide a fix for this soon.

Having same issue. Super slow scrolling in web browser and MS Word, way too fast in Acrobat (usually), rebooting plugging/unplugging is so frustrating. Changing the scroll settings isn't a solution because all day I've got multiple apps open (Word, Edge, Acrobat......) and if I get the scroll speed tolerable for one it's absolutely unworkable for another.

Of note, having same issue with work computer and home computer. Both Windows 11, tried at least two different mice with each PC.

    ugh...

I have the same exact issue. However, I have noticed that the scroll rate is different between MS Word, a browser, and One note?
