Ahhh, I'm so disheartened. I came here to learn from the great crowd and ended up finding there is no fix. Microsoft... Do better.
How do you minimize windows voice access bar windows 11? It stays at the top of the screen. I have to minimize my EMR on remote desktop but I can only see the top or the top of the EMR, not both

2025-01-15T02:55:22+00:00 Eliac is Microsoft working on this? Are they even acknowledging it? Like others have said I really cant believe Microsoft thought this was a good idea. I have non diabetic neuropathy and typing is very difficult. On my android phone I use google speech to text all it is is a microphone on the keyboard. Cant Microsoft implement something that is less intrusive? Surly Microsoft could because you have some of the best software engineer's in the world. Why would you ignore this request?

2024-03-27T05:35:05+00:00 Hello Boyce Hornberger, welcome to the Microsoft Community!
It looks like you're struggling with the Windows voice access bar taking up space at the top of your screen, causing your other windows to display incompletely, making them difficult to use.
Can you please let me know what software is the EMR you mentioned in your post, and can you share a screenshot of this situation you mentioned, so that I can determine if these next options are applicable to your situation.
In fact, you can use the shortcut Windows + ↓, the down arrow key on the right side of the keyboard, to minimize the window that is currently getting the focus, or use Windows + M to minimize all windows on the desktop.
You can also temporarily turn off the UI by clicking the Settings button at the right end of the voice access bar and clicking Turn off voice access. you can turn Voice access back on later in Settings-Accessibility-Speech.
In general, some software may have the ability to adjust the window size or you can adjust the scaling of your screen: go to Settings-System-Display and adjust it in the Scale section. A smaller scale will make the elements displayed on your screen smaller, but will also result in more space, depending on your preference.
I would like to know if the above options will solve your problem, if you still have questions, please provide us with more information and we will keep helping you.
Best Regards,
Eliac | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
